Gutentag,

Ich habe eine Audi S3 aus 10-1999 mit eine VDO tacho.
Konnen Sie mir sagen welche type Eeprom chip ich habe.
I weib das die A3 mit VDO tacho eine Eeprom chip 93C66 haben.

Andy,

Ich gebrache tachopro, und selektion audi a3 vdo 1998 bis 2000 das is fur die 93c66 dar geburt leider nichts
Kann ich dann fur meine S3, volkswagen mit vdo nach 2000 selektieren mit eeprom nr 93c86 und dann meine tacho justieren.

Heren ich habe eine S3 aus 10-99.
Mit Tachopro geht das nicht, Tachopro kan allein 93c66 justieren.

Sind da eine program um meine S3 mit Eeprom 93c86 zu justieren.

Eeprom programmer v 1.3 werkt auch nicht.
Das programm kommst mit eine fehlercode, Kann die Eeprom nicht lesen.

Hilfe, kannst jedeman mir helfen

Tachopro only work with 93C66 and your speedometer has an 93C86.

Other Software works very seldom. You need a specialist or a programmer to pick out the data record of the eprom.

Wil tachopro works the new version 2001 i think, tacho serieel programmer, can i select the 93c86 chip, and then VDO till 2004 audi a3.

Or is it to risky, is there a possibilty that i crash my eeprom

I don't understand you exactly...

Now you have the Tachopro Software Version 2001 and a compatible cable?
In this Version of Tachopro you can select many eeproms....among others the 93C86. I am not sure, but I believe Tachopro don't work with newer speedometer.
Tachopro is for older speedometer. Older speedometer also have all listed types of emproms. <-- I am not sure bit i think so.

I wouldn't make it. It can pass that the miles will be written into the wrong area.

But you can open speedopmeter and looking for the chip. The eeprom is on the topside of the printed circuit board. You must remove the indicator.

He Sandman,

I will explain it, i bought a tachopro V2 i think, that is the program that cannot adjust my S3, if i select in tachopro A3 vdo 1998-2000 with Eeprom 93c66.
The program will only read my kombiinstrument, and then i get the message bitte warten and then nothing will happen. So i think that my tacho is not with a Vdo 93c66 but a Vdo 93c86.

Someone from the forum also confirmed this, that a tacho from 9-99 is a 93c86 chip, so i am asking the guys, for a program that works.

Another forum guy send me a new program, the tachopro serieel programmer, i can select a 93c86, but i not really know how this program works, i think i have to read my eeprom first in another program then save it, and open in tachopro, then select the car and then adjust.

But if you have a better advise to adjust or a easier program, please say.
